There’s nothing like a good sketch, let alone a challenge. I think the card is cute, the picture – well I’m not too keen on it. I tried photographing and scanning, but neither really captured it. Anyhooo, I sure had fun.

I’m participating in Taylored Expression‘s challenge this week.
Have some fun with this challenge.

Wow!
I thought Sesame Street had been around forever, because it was there when I was a child. That and Mr. Rogers are the first TV I can remember.
So, I guess that means I have been around forever, because I didn’t realize we were both FORTY!
It’s okay, I’m dealing with it. I’m excited though, because I think Sesame Street is really just the BEST television for young minds. It was my children’s first show, and my son’s first video tape was the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Sesame Street.
Raise your hand if you remember Gordon, and Mr. “Looper” and all the “humans” we grew up with…
On to the challenge… create something inspired by Sesame Street – a card, a layout, an altered item, and e-mail it to me by the end of the month. I will share a slide show of all your fabulous art, and choose a RANDOM winner. I have a set of Tim Holtz stamps, some type charms, and some birthday goodies – a wonderful prize package.
Let the creating begin!

I made this using Spellbinder’s Tulips Impressabilities and some photo paper. Stamps and embellishments are by Tim Holtz and Kimberly Poloson.
The flowers are Foliage from Tim Holtz, and I dabbed paint on them from my paint dabbers using a Fantastix tool.
The impression is sort of a spin on a letterpress technique, with several layers of ink added – I was going for sort of a burnished leather or wood look.
Hels is hosting a challenge on her blog – and while I didn’t really use a Beatles song, I did make a cover of a book, and use dictionary paper that included the definition of “rock” as in rock ‘n roll. Funny, the Beatles were nowhere in the definition.
The SUCHARD image is from Tim’s
French Marketplace stamp set. I inked photo paper with several layers of various distress inks, and then stamped with Caramel Adirondack Ink – seemed fitting for a “sweet” image! I sanded the edges to give it a little more dimension.
Hope you like!
Happy Crafting!

Another day, another challenge.
Why don’t you get out some stuff and play with me?
See the sketch
here.
I used some Sizzlit dies we have here at croppinsville, and with the exception of the card base, it’s all scraps.
The card base is Bo Bunny Sugar Dot double dot cardstock. The scraps and ribbon are from Bo Bunny, except for the black, white and mirror paper. White pen – Ranger’s Inkessential – love that thing!
The mirror paper firework streamers (?) are colored with Copics, but the picture really doesn’t show it very well.
Well, it’s quiet today, and so I will return to Happily Crafting!
