Quick Eats

I tried this new recipe the other night – it took me – like ten minutes! If we can feed our families faster, we have more time to play, right?

French Dip Burgers
You’ll need …
One Can of Campbell’s French Onion Soup (delish, yes, it is!)
One Pound Ground Beef (I used 85/15 Angus – yum!)
Buns (I purchased hard – they weren’t really hard – sandwich rolls, you don’t want burger buns)
Optional – cheese (I used Havarti – a semi soft spin on Swiss – my favorite)
Instructions
Form your beef into patties.
Brown on both sides.
Add the soup.
Bring to a boil and cover for five minutes.
(I did flip them during this time, just for giggles.)
Meanwhile – toast your buns.
Uncover burgers and add cheese. Replace lid and cook one more minute.
Plate your burgers. Bowl up the remainder of the onion soup for dipping jus.
All you have is your dinner dishes, and one pan! Sweet! I served with some twice baked potatoes I had pre-made, but was thinking they’d be yum-o with some kettle chips. I’ve eaten, but now I have the munchies.

Join A Swap

Wow! Look at the great samples from last month’s swap. Everyone did a great job with their chosen stamps!!! Getting to keep the stamp was only half the fun!!!

Check with the store or the blog to join a swap. Previous swaps have been, Take Ten (which included a free stamp), ATC, recipe cards, cupcake recipe cards, birthday calendars and many more. The June swap is a contact card trade. Let’s get to know each other! Make a rolodex card in your style with your info (name, e-mail, birthday, and your favorite supplies and/or scrappin’ goodies listed on it. Come by the store and use our rolodex die to create your cards. The number due will be based on the number of people that sign up. Sign up ends May 30 and the swap is due at the end of June. I can’t wait to get to know everyone better.
