Impressabilities

impressabilities sample I made this using Spellbinder’s Tulips Impressabilities and some photo paper. Stamps and embellishments are by Tim Holtz and Kimberly Poloson.

The flowers are Foliage from Tim Holtz, and I dabbed paint on them from my paint dabbers using a Fantastix tool.

The impression is sort of a spin on a letterpress technique, with several layers of ink added – I was going for sort of a burnished leather or wood look.

Hels is hosting a challenge on her blog – and while I didn’t really use a Beatles song, I did make a cover of a book, and use dictionary paper that included the definition of "rock" as in rock ‘n roll. Funny, the Beatles were nowhere in the definition.

The SUCHARD image is from Tim’s French Marketplace stamp set. I inked photo paper with several layers of various distress inks, and then stamped with Caramel Adirondack Ink – seemed fitting for a "sweet" image! I sanded the edges to give it a little more dimension.

Hope you like!

More Spellbinder Dies

So, I’m having so much fun with our Blog Candy and giveaways that I thought it would be fun to give away a NEW Spellbinder‘s Die as well! How does that sound? Once they’re all unveiled and ready to begin shipping, I’ll give one LUCKY commenter the DIE set of their choice. You can also choose from older dies. Don’t see the DIES you’re DYING for? E-mail me and I’ll try to get them for you. I am adding more dies to our Special Order area. As long as you don’t mind waiting a little while, you still get that fabulous 25% off.
Remember, we’re offering 25% off pre-orders – and as they are unveiled, we are listing them on our website.

I have been busy making room for new Spellbinders. I got in some DVD cases, and I’ve been labeling them and placing my Dies in them. I had them in clear CD sleeves on little magnetic sheets, and I just didn’t like this solution. I got this idea from Becca Feeken at AmazingPaperGrace.com. She is so talented, and apparently, really organized!

So, go ahead and give us a comment to be entered. Check back to see if you’ve won after all the Releases are done. I will keep y’all updated as to when we expect those new Pendants and Borderabilities in our hot little hands.
In the meantime, I’ve gotta make these utilitarian style DVD cases look way more crafty. So, you can find me Happily Crafting!
