I learned on Monday that I was accepted to RANGER U. I have thought about applying for 2 and a half years, and finally bit the bullet. After all, my mother told me NO at least a million times, I should be used to it. Ranger Ink has lots of GREAT info on their site, including information about the class… and a sneak peek at Tim Holtz' new ALTERATIONS line for SIZZIX – new DISTRESS ink colors, some new PEARLS, and Claudine has a new product coming out. I also saw something new for adding black and white accents – an enamel product. How fun is this going to be.

So anyway, can you even imagine my surprise at being ACCEPTED! So mom, I don't have a PhD yet, but I will be RANGER Certified. My poor husband was in the shower and I scared him silly, shrieking like a school girl. It went something like, NUH UH, OMG OMG OMG, NUH UH, is this for real???

I'm so excited. Ranger U is a three day program, where participants learn everything there is to know about everything Ranger from Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth, and Suze Weinberg and many more excellent Ranger folks. I am thrilled to join the ranks of some of my FAVORITE artists, including Wendy Vecchi, Linda Cain, and Jennifer McGuire.

The thing I am most excited about is all the knowledge I'll be able to bring back to you. I know many of you have Ranger products, and I don't know nearly as much as I should, so you can have faith that over time, I will go over EVERYTHING I learn there.

To those of you who knew I was going and crossed your fingers, knelt in prayer, and wished me well … thank you, can you see the power there is in your positive thoughts!!! I am so thankful for your support and encouragement.

Now, it's back to work on CHA preparations. If you are attending the Super Show, I will be helping Pat Huntoon (Technique Junkies) while she does demos. I lucked into this – I volunteered and Pat said she would like my help – color me thrilled! Stop by and see us. Technique Junkies is really the best, I have been a susbcriber for YEARS and think Pat and her TURBO TEAM are just the best. I am pleased as punch that Pat is publishing a card I did for a guest design spot.

Overall, it's looking like a REALLY good year.

Yes, this project uses products all scrappers are sure to have!
You’ll need TOILET PAPER, water (from the tap or a spray bottle), a stamp, and optionall, a stencil brush.
Make paper casted versions of your favorite stamps!!!

Place 5 to 8 squares of any brand of toilet paper on top of one another.

Dampen the paper thoroughly under the faucet or use a water-filled spray bottle.

Place the dampened paper on top of the stamp (rubber side up) and press the wet toilet paper into the rubber. A stencil brush works well. Press firmly, with even pressure. (TIP: If you’re using a more detailed stamp, try applying the toilet paper squares one at a time. Pounce gently with your brush between applications so that you better capture the detail of the stamp image.)

Lift off carefully and allow the impression to dry. Speed up the process by placing in direct sunlight or on top of the dryer.

For a soft edge, tear around the casting when it’s still slightly damp.

Color with chalks, or Perfect Pearls.

Mount your paper casted embellishment with a dab of Glossy Accents.

I LOVE Wendy Vecchi SO MUCH, her style, her stamps, and she is just so darn nice!

I have all her current stamps, and her new stamps are going to be here soon. We are almost sold out of her older stamps, but I have more coming with the new ones. I was hard at work tonight, while the croppers cropped, I was stamping and cutting, embossing, hammering and gluing. I am sure they though I was crazy.

Each of these fun tags was made entirely with one set, and uses ALL stamps IN the set. So, if you ever look at these sets and wonder, what you would do with them, here are some ideas.

I plan to make one for all the sets, so I’ll be hard at it again tomorrow, and I’m sure many days after that… but I’ll leave you with these for now. If you would like to make one of these tags, just come on by – bring some scissors and glue, I’ve got the stamps and ink, and I’m sure you can find some embellies that you like.

Yeah, at Croppinsville … Everything is Coming Up Wendy… If you would like to join our group, we’re having lots of fun. http://Groups.yahoo.com/group/EverythingWendyVecchi – you’ll need a yahoo id and your membership will be approved – the approval process weeds out the spammy trolls!

Have a great night, and I hope you find time to do like Wendy says… make ART!

Happy Crafting!
